ACB files case against suspended Rajkot Town Planning Officer Sagathiya; read the list of his assets

Gandhinagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed a case of Disproportionate Assets against Manukh Dhanabhai Sagathiya (MD Sagathiya), a suspended town planning officer (Class-1) of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC), who is one of the accused in the Rajkot TRP Game Zone fire case.

Sagathiya could have a total legal income of Rs. 2.57 crore+ so far, but the ACB has unearthed assets worth Rs. 13.23 crore+ investments and expenditures of Sagathiya and his family members.

This means Sagathiya has 410.37 percent disproportionate assets compared to his legal income. He has over Rs. 10 crore more  than his legal income.

ACB Rajkot unit field police inspector JM Al has investigated this and filed a complaint on behalf of the government against Sagathiya. The further probe has been handed over to Surendranagar ACB police station’s inspector MM Lalivala.

The accused’s assets undearthed by ACB include:

• Jay Babari petrol pump at Sokhda
• Industrial godowns (3) at Sokhda
• Jay Babari petrol pump at Gomta
• Hotel under construction at Gomta
• Farmhouse at Gomta
• Agricultural land at Gomta and Chordi in Gondal taluka
• Gas godown in Urja Industrial at Shapar
• Plot in Balaji Greenpark at Movaiya
• Under construction bungalow in Anamila Society on University Road of Rajkot
• Tenement in Astha Society in Madhapar at Rajkot
• C-1701 Ester flat at Adani Shantigram Township in Ahmedabad
• B-7, 802 La Marina at Adani Shantigram Township in Ahmedabad
• Six vehicles including two Honda City cars
• Foreign travel to Dubai, Europe, South Africa, Australia, the U.K., Maldives, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia DeshGujarat
