3 miscreants booked for attack on BRTS station in Un area of Surat

Surat: The local police today arrested one Asif Pinjari and two other migrant Muslims for breaking the glass door of a Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) bus stand using a steel pipe and also breaking a CCTV camera. The miscreants also broke the glass of a bus at a BRTS station in the Un area on Monday night. The miscreants entered into a clash with a cashier.
A complainant, Afzal Rehmat Hussain Siddiki, who is an employee of the bus service, told the police that on Monday at around 8 PM, Asif Pinjari and his two friends arrived at the BRTS bus station and made allegations against Afzal over missing money from a pocket. Asif slapped Afzal, while Asif’s aides broke the glass door of the BRTS bus station and also hit and dislocated a CCTV camera using a steel pipe. They also broke the glass of the bus and escaped the place. After speaking to senior officials, Afzal filed a complaint against Asif and two others. The incident was recorded by the CCTV system.
