GST E-way bill portals hung, crores worth of transactions stuck

Ahmedabad: All four Goods and Services Tax (GST) e-way bill portals have been down for the past two days. This crash caused crores of transactions to be stuck and halted the transportation of goods. Traders need these portals to generate e-way bills, required for transporting goods worth over ₹50,000 between states.

Many trucks were stuck at checkposts without e-way bills. These vehicles could not move, which led to long queues and delays.
