Gujarat ACB book class-1 officer in DA case after Rs 30 lakh cash found in his house
June 26, 2024
Ahmedabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has booked Vaibhav Achalkumar Shrivastav, former Deputy Executive Engineer, Class-1 for possessing disproportionate assets.
Shrivastav was previously accused of taking a bribe of ₹1.2 lakh to approve and forward repair and maintenance bills for water supply in 54 villages. During its investigation in May this year, ACB officials found ₹30 lakh cash at Shrivastav’s residence.
Upon interrogation, Shrivastav failed to provide satisfactory answers or evidence for the money, which led the ACB to consider it as corruption money. As a result, ACB seized ₹30 lakh cash under CrPC section 102 and booked a case of DA against him. DeshGujarat
