Drones vs Mosquitoes in Surat ! Civic body to use tech to combat breeding

Surat: The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC), aiming to combat mosquito breeding, will use drones for surveillance and to spray insecticide on the rooftops of residential societies and houses.
In an experimental project, the SMC will inspect the rooftops of buildings and houses. After identifying potential mosquito breeding spots, it will use drones to spray insecticide in these areas. Additionally, the SMC plans to use drones to spray insecticide in Koyli Khadi, Mithi Khadi, Kankra Khadi, Bendwad Khadi, Pal Palanpur Canal, and nearby farms.
The SMC has procured resources worth Rs. 50 lakh for this project, including drones. DeshGujarat
