Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has taken a decision to increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent for the State government employees who benefit from the 7th Pay Commission, effective from 1st January 2024.

Over 4.71 lakh employees and 4.73 lakh retired employees will benefit from this decision.

The arrears amounting to Rs. 1129.51 crore for the period from 1st January 2024 to 30th June 2024 will be paid in three installments along with the salaries of July, August, and September 2024. DeshGujarat
