Gujarat CM reviews surprise visits by collectors and DDOs in rural areas
July 07, 2024
Gandhinagar: Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, launched a new initiative to improve government service delivery in rural areas. Collectors and District Development Officers (DDO) from all 33 districts conducted surprise visits on July 6th to assess service accessibility in villages across their districts.
Officials visited villages in their respective districts to inspect services such as healthcare, education, Anganwadi centres, government-approved ration shops, mid-day meals, milk distribution under the Doodh Sanjeevani Yojana, Bharatnet connectivity, and banking services. They interacted directly with villagers to identify any shortcomings in service delivery.
Following the visits, CM held a video conference with these officials to discuss their findings and receive feedback. He also engaged with villagers to gather firsthand information about the adequacy of available services, issuing necessary directives based on their feedback.
The initiative aims to continually assess and enhance government service delivery in rural areas, with a commitment to regularly gather citizen feedback. DeshGujarat
