Ahmedabad: Sandeep Engineer, the managing director of Astral Ltd, assumed the presidency of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) for the term 2024-25 on Saturday.

Rajesh Gandhi, MD of Vadilal Industries Ltd, was appointed as the new senior vice-president, and Apurva Shah has taken on the role of vice-president. The members were elected unopposed, and the new team assumed office on Saturday.

Sandeep Engineer outlined the objectives for the upcoming year, emphasizing representation for MSMEs, particularly micro and small enterprises, establishing specialized training programs for entrepreneurship development, maintaining industry relations, expanding activities, and contributing to national development by fostering industrial and trade growth in the state.
