5 footbridges planned to ease pedestrian crossing SG Highway
July 18, 2024
Ahmedabad: The Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway, which connects the city with the state capital Gandhinagar, is one of the busiest roads in the city, making it difficult for pedestrians to cross. To address this issue, five footbridges are set to be constructed between Iskcon Crossroads and Vaishnodevi Circle.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will oversee the project and has already initiated the process to install these pedestrian crossings. During the latest meeting of the Gujarat Road Safety Authority (GRSA), AMC officials reported that they have applied for a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the roads and buildings department for these footbridges.
