Fire breaks out at Acropolis Mall in Ahmedabad; building evacuated

Ahmedabad: A fire broke out this morning on the second floor of Acropolis Mall in the Thaltej area of Ahmedabad. Upon receiving the report, three fire tenders were rushed to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control.
Despite this, the smoke spread across the entire second floor, and the fire department is still working to extinguish it. The primary cause of the fire is reportedly a short circuit, but this will be confirmed only after an investigation. The mall also houses theaters and offices on the third floor, and it was evacuated as soon as the fire started.
According to information from the fire brigade, around 9:30 AM today (July 20), the Ahmedabad fire brigade control room received a report of the fire on the second floor of Acropolis Mall near Thaltej Char Rasta. Three fire brigade vehicles were immediately dispatched to the location. The fire brigade team quickly brought the blaze under control.
