SMC to prepare revised comprehensive mobility plan for 30 years for Surat Metropolitan area

Surat: The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) today said it has undertaked a revision of the Comprehensive Mobility Plan for the Surat Metropolitan Area (SMA). The Comprehensive Mobility Plan is a long-term vision document for transport in Surat.

To understand the travel patterns of the residents, the consultant will conduct various surveys, including traffic, household, and opinion surveys. The project has been assigned to the consultant M/S Assystem India Limited (formerly known as L&T Infrastructure Engineering Limited).

Authorized staff of the consultant will contact residents to gather information about their socio-economic and travel characteristics. This survey will be conducted from August to October 2024. SMC has requested the public to provide the necessary information to the consultant. This information will be crucial for formulating a mobility plan for Surat for the next 30 years. DeshGujarat
