August 08, 2024
Gandhinagar: The food safety department of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) today suspended the license of the Kudasan outlet of London Yard Pizza after unhygienic conditions were found in the kitchen of the outlet.
During an inspection of London Yard Pizza in Kudasan on July 3rd, food safety officials found that the health of citizens was being compromised due to violations of hygiene and the Food Safety and Standards Act in the restaurant’s kitchen. Following this, the designated officer of the city civic body issued an improvement notice with necessary suggestions. However, the management of London Yard Pizza failed to comply with the food safety rules and did not take the required actions as per the notice. Consequently, the food safety authorities have suspended the license of London Yard Pizza and instructed the management to close the business for violating the rules of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
