Ahmedabad DEO issues notice to Satellite School for Children

Ahmedabad: The District Education Officer (DEO) has served a notice to Satellite School for Children, run by Udgam Consultancy, for not refunding the fees of a student.

The parents had canceled the admission of their daughter at the school and demanded a refund of Rs. 1.19 lakh. When the school did not return the fee, the parents approached the DEO office. Acting on the complaint, the DEO has notified the school to refund the fees.

It is noteworthy that according to the rules of the Fee Regulatory Commission (FRC), if the fees are not refunded, the school can be fined up to Rs. 5 lakh.
