Ellisbridge MLA seeks demolition of former MLA’s building under Disturbed Areas Act

Ahmedabad: Ellisbridge MLA and city BJP Chief Amit Shah today sought demolition of the building of former Congress MLA Gyasuddin Shaikh. During the MP-MLA coordination meeting, MLA Amit Shah requested the Commissioner to demolish the former MLA’s building near the Rifle Club.

MLA Amit Shah provided further details, stating that earlier the District Collector had initiated an investigation under the Disturbed Areas Act regarding this building. During the probe, it was found that the building was in violation of the Disturbed Areas Act, and the Collector had instructed the cancellation of its documents. Following the Collector’s action, a proposal has been made to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to cancel the building’s plan and proceed with its demolition. DeshGujarat
