The complex is designed to benefit residents of Vejalpur, Prahladnagar, Anandnagar, Sarkhej, Makarba, and nearby areas. Key features of the swimming pool include a 50m x 25m swimming pool with depths ranging from 3.6 to 6.6 feet, a baby swimming pool, and a rooftop covering. Facilities also encompass separate ladies’ and gents’ toilets with locker rooms and cubicle showers, an instructor and inquiry/registration office, a filtration plant, and a coach’s office within the gymnasium. Following the inauguration, the Makarba Swimming Pool and Gymnasium Complex will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Managed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, the facility will be run by a private concessionaire selected through a competitive bidding process in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
