AMC to do verification of 20 percent of total CCRS complaints “resolved”
August 18, 2024
Ahmedabad: Online complaints filed by citizens regarding various civic issues are often closed without a resolution. The AMC receives complaints via the phone number 155303, the online CCRS system, and social media channels. In just a three-month span, more than 166,000 complaints have been received through these channels.
However, citizens are increasingly complaining that most of the complaints are closed without actually resolving the issues. This means that while the problem may appear to be solved on paper, nothing changes in practice.
In response to these complaints, the AMC has decided to conduct cross-verification in 20 percent of cases. Feedback from complainants will now be sought in 20 percent of cases. The complaints primarily concern water, gutters, street lights, and stray animals. DeshGujarat
