Gandhinagar: Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation(GMRC) has today announced the timings of metro trains connecting Motera station in Ahmedabad to Sector-1 station in Gandhinagar. The service under phase-2 is going to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 16 September, and it will be available to the people on 17 September.

The two routes shall be Motera to Sector – 1 via GNLU. And GNLU to GIFT city. The services from Motera Stadium Metro station to Sector 1 Metro station will be from 8 am to 6 pm. The services from Sector – 1 metro station to Motera Stadium Metro stations shall be from 7.20 am to 6.40 pm .

The services from GNLU metr station to GIFT City metro station shall be from 8.20 am to 6.25 pm. The services from GIFT City metro station to GNLU metro station shall be from 7.18 am to 6.38 pn.

The frequency and timings are likely to be increased in later stage. It’s worth noting that not all metro stations on the routes above are to be opened on 17 September. The phase-2 works from Sector – 1 to Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar are also underway. DeshGujarat
