Low approval ratio in Impact Fee applications

Surat: Only 16 percent files of applications under the Impact fee law are approved in Surat due to some of provisions under the law.

One of key requirement mandated is abuot provision of parking. The other issue is lesser FSI. One reason behind lower ratio of approval is that, the SMC officials check all doccuments carefully in the light of the recent Rajkot TRP game zone tragedy, in which the public servants also had to go to jail and face actions.
