Bullet Train Project: 210-meter-long bridge over NH 48 completed in Navsari

Navsari: A 210-meter-long PSC bridge over NH-48 at Navsari was completed for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project on October 1, 2024, the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) announced today.
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor crosses NH-48 between Delhi and Chennai (passing through Gujarat and Maharashtra) at Sisodra village, Navsari district, Gujarat, via an elevated viaduct.
This 210-meter-long bridge is the second PSC box-segmental bridge completed over the highway using the Balanced Cantilever method. The bridge comprises 72 precast segments with four spans of 40m + 65m + 65m + 40m.
Located between Billimora and Surat Bullet Train stations, the bridge is situated along NH-48, one of the busiest highways in the country. The launching over the highway was completed with meticulous planning and precision, according to NHSRCL. DeshGujarat
