October 14, 2024
Gandhinagar: More than 3 million students in Gujarat from Class 9 to 12 will start their first exams of the academic year today. The tests will take place in over 12,000 government, government-aided, and private schools throughout the state, continuing until October 23.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) announced this schedule in its academic calendar in July. The Board stated that the first academic session will officially conclude on October 27, just four days after the exams. Following this, students will have a 21-day Diwali break from October 28 to November 17.
The exams will include material from the syllabus covered between June and September. After the exams, schools will start the evaluation process, with results expected to be released when the second academic session begins on November 18.
The second term will consist of 135 days and will end on May 4. Students will have their second round of exams, including prelims, from January 20 to 28. Additionally, board exams for Class 10 and 12 students will commence earlier next year. DeshGujarat
