Amit Shah addresses annual function of Gujarat Lok Sewa Trust in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad:Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is visiting his home state of Gujarat, addressed the annual function of the Gujarat Lok Seva Trust in the city.

The Gujarat Lok Seva Trust, led by former Congress leader Rajkumar Gupta and father of BJP leader Rohan Gupta, has completed 34 years and entered its 35th year.

Addressing the event, Shah said, “Before I came here, Rohan told me about all the work that the trust is doing. I want to thank Rohan. I have been to so many programs, but no one has summed up such a long journey and so many works in such a short time like you. Helping needy students, providing provisions to the divyangs to ease their struggles, offering free treatment and health check-ups, and taking around 350 government schemes to the people.”

“In 34 years, the Lok Seva Trust has helped over 5 lakh people in various ways. From a small beginning in 1990 by Rajkumar Bhai, and with Rohan joining in 2006, the trust has assisted over 5 lakh people in times of trouble, registering them with government schemes. For this, I commend them both from the bottom of my heart.”

Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani, Narhari Amin, and Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibha Jain were among several dignitaries present at the event. DeshGujarat
