Minimum temperature dips across Gujarat: Rajkot coldest among big cities

Ahmedabad: As per the weather report issued at 08:30 IST on December 20 by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Gujarat witnessed a range of minimum temperatures with notable dips in several cities. Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 13.4°C, just 0.2°C below normal, reflecting a slight chill in the air. Baroda experienced a slightly warmer minimum at 14.6°C, exceeding the normal by 0.6°C, providing relatively milder conditions.
Rajkot saw one of the sharpest drops in minimum temperature, recording 9.5°C, which is a significant 4.6°C below normal, marking it as one of the coldest spots among major cities. Surat, known for its typically moderate weather, recorded a minimum temperature of 16.8°C, marginally above normal by 0.2°C. With clear skies and no rainfall across the region, dry conditions continue to prevail. Naliya in Kutch was the coldest town at 6.4°C, whereas Bhuj also witnessed a colder night with 10.2°C.
