January 04, 2025
Ahmedabad: As of today, a total of 581 pet dogs have been registered by 500 owners across seven zones in Ahmedabad, just four days since the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) made pet dog registration mandatory on January 1.
The West Zone leads the count with 135 pets, followed closely by the North West Zone with 133. The Central Zone recorded the lowest participation, with only 20 dogs registered.
Popular breeds registered include Labradors, German Shepherds, Pomeranians, and Golden Retrievers. The AMC aims to enhance pet management and ensure better public health through this initiative. DeshGujarat
