AMC seals 654 properties of defaulters; collects rs 41.24 lakh in tax

Ahmedabad: The city civic body sealed 654 properties on Friday due to non-payment of property taxes by their owners. Of these, 437 properties were in the East Zone, while 217 were in the South Zone.
The Property Tax Department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) collected a total of Rs 41.24 lakh in taxes from the East Zone. In the South Zone, the auction of three out of six properties up for sale fetched Rs 23 lakh. However, the remaining three properties did not receive any bids. DeshGujarat
