Gujarat CM approves one major river bridge, four laning of two crucial State highways

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Chief Minister has allocated Rs. 294 crore for various works on the state highway, including the construction of a major river bridge in Kaprada taluka and the four-lane conversion of North Gujarat’s Visnagar-Vijapur highway, among others.

The Chief Minister has approved Rs. 26 crore for the construction of a major bridge over the Damanganga River in Valsad district. This bridge will benefit over 23,000 people from 16 villages in the Kapradaa area. The bridge will come up connecting Bhurvad in Kaprada to Tukvada across the Damanganga River. It will benefit the tribal school-going students and the locals who work in Khanvel and Selvas GIDC.

The Chief Minister has also approved Rs. 136.16 crore for the four-lane conversion of the present 7-meter-wide, 24 km highway connecting Visnagar to Vijapur in the Mahesana district. This highway witnesses the traffic of heavy vehicles originating and destined for Himmatnagar, Modasa, Idar, and Lunawada.

The Chief Minister has also approved Rs. 132 crore for the four-lane conversion of the 10-meter-wide Anand-Karamsad-Sojitra-Tarapur road, which connects Central Gujarat to Saurashtra. This four-lane conversion work will include structural work, a protection wall, road furniture, and more. This decision will benefit the locals of Tarapur, Petlad, and Sojitra taluka people, those linked to Anand GIDC, and those commuting for education in Vallabh Vidyanagar. DeshGujarat
