AMC Sees Rise in Property and Professional Tax Collections for FY 2024-25

Ahmedabad: The city civic body’s tax collection for the ongoing fiscal year 2024-25, as of January 17th, stands at ₹1290.47 crore, surpassing the total for the same period last year.
During FY 2023-24, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) collected ₹1679.98 crore in property tax, with ₹1175.04 crore collected between April 1 and January 17. This year, the civic body has already collected ₹1290.47 crore, showing a 9.8% increase in property tax collection.
Additionally, the AMC has collected ₹206.91 crore in Professional Tax from April 1, 2024, to January 17, 2025, reflecting a 15.5% increase compared to the same period last year. A total of ₹237.57 crore was collected in the previous financial year (2023-24).
The total tax collection for the year, which includes Property, Professional, and Vehicle taxes as of January 17th, stands at ₹1695.54 crore, making up 78.76% of the total tax collection of ₹2151.82 crore in FY 2023-24.
