Traffic arrangements and parking details for Coldplay concert in Ahmedabad

Motera: The Narendra Modi Stadium, filled with over 1 lakh people, will come alive with the tunes of British rock band Coldplay on January 25 and 26. The concerts are expected to draw over 1 lakh attendees each day, including VVIPs, celebrities, and fans from across the nation and abroad in Ahmedabad. To manage the crowd and give fans a night to remember, traffic diversions have been put in place near the Motera Stadium, and over 14 parking spots have been arranged for fans to park their vehicles.
The Ahmedabad traffic police have issued diversions around the Narendra Modi Stadium to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the Coldplay concerts on January 25 and 26. Key restrictions include:
⊃ Restricted routes: Vehicular access will not be allowed at Janpath T Junction leading to the stadium’s main gate, Krupa Residency T, and Motera T Junction.
⊃ Alternate routes: From Tapovan Circle, vehicles can proceed via ONGC Crossroads, Visat T Junction, Janpath T Junction, Power House Crossroads, and Prabodh Rawal Circle.
After Krupa Residency T Junction, vehicles can use Sharan Status to Apollo Circle via Bhat Koteshwar Road.

To accommodate the large crowd, 14 designated parking spots have been arranged within 2.7 km of the stadium. A summary of these locations is as follows:

These parking plots are located within 300 meters to 2.5 km of the stadium and can accommodate over 12,000 two-wheelers and around 4,700 four-wheelers. A ferry service will shuttle attendees to the venue free of charge from some of these parking spots.
The selected parking spots where the shuttle service is available include Railway Colony Playground, AMC Plot near ONGC Circle, Opp. Matrushree Party Plot, and Khodiyar Tea Cross Road. A fleet of 75 Maruti Suzuki Eeco vans will operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, with ferry service assistants stationed at pickup and drop points.
Concert-goers must book parking spaces online via the ‘Show My Parking’ app. Two-wheeler parking costs ₹150, while four-wheeler parking is ₹500.
Additionally, the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation has increased the frequency of metro trains, which will run every 7 minutes on the concert days. Meanwhile, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation-run AMTS and BRTS services have also increased the frequency of buses on the route. DeshGujarat
