Two AMTS Foremen Crushed to Death in Ghodasar Overbridge Accident

Ahmedabad: Two foremen working on the repair of an AMTS (Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service) bus tragically lost their lives in a  accident on the Ghodasar overbridge today.

The incident occurred when a breakdown in an AMTS bus necessitated towing by another bus. While this towing operation was underway on the overbridge, the tow line unexpectedly snapped. Victim Foremen were fixing this. Meanwhile an Eicher truck  collided with AMTS bus from rear side, resulting in the fatal injuries of the two foremen who got crushed between two buses.

Foremen, who were working between the two buses during the towing operation, succumbed to injuries on the spot. The impact of the collision also caused significant damage to the AMTS bus.

Traffic DCP and other officials swiftly arrived at the scene to oversee the situation and manage the aftermath of the accident. As a result of the incident, one side of the Ghodasar overbridge was temporarily closed to traffic.
