Gandhinagar: As February begins, the weather becomes less chilly in most parts of Gujarat. However, with the unusual rain prediction, this might not be the case in the first week of February. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the possibility of light unseasonal rain in parts of Gujarat on February 2 and 3.
According to IMD’s latest bulletin, “Light rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of the South Gujarat region, namely Valsad, Navsari, and in Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli; and in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Amreli and Bhavnagar, on February 2.”
For February 3, the IMD stated, “Light rain is very likely at isolated places in the districts of the North Gujarat region, namely Aravalli, Dahod, and Mahisagar; and in the districts of Saurashtra, namely Amreli and Bhavnagar.”
Northeasterly to easterly winds are prevailing at lower levels over the region, said the IMD bulletin on the synoptic situation over the state. DeshGujarat
