Radadiya hosts mass wedding function involving 511 brides

Dhoraji:A mass wedding function involving 511 brides was held at Jamkandorna on a 125 bigha plot with the help of 10,000 volunteers. As many as 1.75 lakh people were offered a meal at this function. Each daughter was given 120 items in kariyavar. The wedding procession featured vintage cars and horses with bands. The mass wedding function on such a large scale was organized in memory of late BJP leader Vitthalbhai Radadiya by his MLA son Jayesh Radadiya. Each bride was given a gift of the Bhagavad Gita or a book. Free diabetes and blood pressure checking services were provided for all by local hospitals. The donors from the Leuva Patel community. The function was titled as Prit Nu Panetar. It was attended by Gujarat BJP chief and central minister CR Patil, union minister and Porbandar MP Mansukh Mandaviya, former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani among other leaders.
