Surat: A goods container terminal was recently inaugurated at Chalthan Railway Station in the city. Following this, a consignment of 90 containers carrying fly ash from the NTPC siding has already reached Madhya Pradesh. The loading of these 90 containers was handled by TCI-CONCOR Multimodal Solutions. In the coming days, containers related to food items will also be dispatched from here.

The goods terminal follows the inauguration of a similar facility at Udhna. Chalthan Railway Station is being developed, with a special focus on facilitating the movement of goods trains.
