Clashes over loud music leave several injured in Ahmedabad & Kheda

Ahmedabad: Two separate incidents of disputes over loud music in Ahmedabad and Kheda resulted in multiple injuries to those involved.

In the first case, a family dispute led to police intervention in Isanpur, where a woman filed a complaint against her brother-in-law for allegedly abusing, assaulting, and threatening her family. The incident reportedly occurred on February 28, when Sangita Parmar requested her brother-in-law, Ghanshyam Ladhel, to lower the volume of music as her children were preparing for board exams. However, Ladhel allegedly reacted aggressively, stormed to her house, banged on the door, hurled abuses at her and her children, attacked them, and even threatened to kill the family with a sword. Later, the family approached Isanpur police, who registered a case against Ladhel for assault, criminal intimidation, and abusive behavior.

In another incident, a family was attacked by relatives on Saturday over playing devotional songs during the Ramdev Peer festival. According to a complaint filed with Limbasi Police in Kheda, Mayur Makwana stated that his brother was playing bhajans when their uncle, Babu Makwana, arrived and started arguing. When Mayur intervened, he was allegedly attacked with a spade, injuring his arm. As Mayur’s mother, wife, and brother tried to intervene, Babu’s sons allegedly joined the assault with sticks, leading to injuries to all four family members. The injured were treated at Tarapur Government Hospital, and police have registered a case in the matter. DeshGujarat
