Gujarat govt launches helpline number for PM-JAY beneficiaries

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has introduced a helpline to assist citizens with queries regarding benefits under the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). The 24×7 helpline, 079-66440104, allows people to register complaints and track their status.

The helpline offers various services, including information on PM-JAY, details about Ayushman cards, and locations of enrolment centres. Citizens can check their card balance, access a list of empanelled hospitals, and obtain details about available treatments and packages.

State Health Minister Rushikesh Patel stated that the helpline provides information about Ayushman cards and related services. Complaints from patients will be recorded via calls, and a registration number will be sent via SMS for tracking.

For complaint resolution, details will be shared via SMS and email with the chief district health officer (CDHO), medical officers, the insurance company, and the card approval agency. Complainants can also submit supporting documents for verification within a specified timeframe.

Currently, over 2.67 crore people in Gujarat hold Ayushman cards, which provide cashless treatment coverage of up to ₹10 lakh. DeshGujarat
