Over 75,000 Bharwad women set a record with traditional Hoodo Raas dance in Bavaliyali, Gujarat

Dholera: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today attended the Punah-Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav and Gop Gyan Gatha of Sant Shri Nagalkha Bapa-Thakardham in Bavaliyali near Dholera. On this occasion, over 75,000 women from the Bharwad community set a record with the traditional Hoodo Raas dance in Bavaliyali, Gujarat.

Addressing the large gathering of the Bharwad community, he said that the Bharwad community believes that God will take care of everything with the ideology of ‘Thakard Kare E Kake.’ Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an era of restoration of Indian Sanatan culture has begun. Temples across the country are being transformed into magnificent and divine structures through modernization. The government is striving to involve even the smallest citizen in this journey of development while preserving heritage, he added.

Describing 2025 as a historic coincidence, he stated that this year marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and the Amrit Mahotsav of the Constitution. The revival of Thakardham has also auspiciously coincided with the 375th anniversary of its establishment. On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the organizers for creating a record by making the Hoodo Raas of women an unprecedented event.

The Chief Minister further emphasized that the Gopalak Samaj, devoted followers of Lord Krishna, has made a significant contribution to animal husbandry. The community has fostered trust in society by demonstrating unity in creative endeavors. Additionally, the Bharwad Samaj has set an example by upholding traditional values while embracing modern and progressive practices through education and training, he added.

“When the efforts of society are combined with the efforts of the government, progress doubles.” Quoting this statement by the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister praised the social initiatives undertaken by the Sant Shri Nagalakha Charitable Trust. Finally, he urged the public to actively participate in projects such as Ek Pad Maa Ke Naam, Catch the Rain, Swachh Bharat, and the Obesity-Free India Campaign.

A certificate was presented to Mahant Shri Rambapu in the presence of the Chief Minister by Pawan Solanki, CEO of the World Record of India Genius Foundation. The Chief Minister also had darshan and offered prayers at Sant Shri Nagalakha – Thakardham.

On this occasion, MLAs Jitubhai Vaghani, Kalubhai Dabhi, Kiritsinh Dabhi, former MLAs Bhawanbhai Bharwad and Lakhabhai Bharwad, Mahant Shri Ram Bapu of Thakardham, Mahant Shri Rajendradasji Bapu of Torania Dham, leaders of the Bharwad community, and a large number of people were present.
