Western Railways launches Bhuj-Rajkot special train

Rajkot: Western Railway today launched a special train between Bhuj and Rajkot for the convenience of passengers.
The details of the train are as follows:
Train No. 09446 Bhuj-Rajkot Special will depart from Bhuj daily at 06:50 AM and reach Rajkot at 01:35 PM from March 21, 2025, to June 30, 2025.
Train No. 09445 Rajkot-Bhuj Special will depart from Rajkot daily at 02:30 PM and reach Bhuj at 09:40 PM from March 21, 2025, to June 30, 2025.
The train will halt at Gandhidham, Bhachau, Samakhiali, Maliya-Miyana, Dahinsara, and Morbi stations in both directions. It will consist of AC Chair Car, Second Class Sitting, and General Class Coaches. The fare for the Second Class Sitting is around ₹125, and for the AC Chair Car, it is around ₹535.
Bookings for Train No. 09446/09445 began on March 20, 2025, at all PRS counters and on the IRCTC website.
Citizens have expressed relief as there was long-standing demand to connect Kutch with Saurashtra. However, passengers have requested that the train not be limited to a specific period but be made a permanent service on the route. Locals have also requested that the train be extended to Dwarka.
