Gujarat govt finalizes 4th Finance Commission with appointment of 3 full-time members

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has appointed three full-time members to the Gujarat State Fourth Finance Commission.
Following the appointment of Yamalbhai Vyas as the chairperson, the state government has now appointed three additional members: Jayantilal Devabhai Patel from Sabarkantha, Sunil Solanki from Vadodara, and Abhaysingh Chauhan from Bhavnagar.
Additionally, B.P. Chauhan, IAS, was appointed as a member and secretary of the State Finance Commission in February 2025.
As per the provisions, the State Finance Commission can have a maximum of five members, including the chairperson. With these latest appointments, the commission now comprises five full-time members, completing its formation. DeshGujarat
