Boating activities set to resume at Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad
April 11, 2025
Ahmedabad: After a hiatus of more than a year, boating activities at the Sabarmati Riverfront near Vallabh Sadan are set to resume soon.
Ahead of the resumption of boating services, the Institute of Reservoir Studies (IRS) has carried out an inspection. A report concerning the site inspection and boating safety is being prepared and will be submitted to the Commissioner. Once the Commissioner grants approval, boating services at the Sabarmati Riverfront will officially resume.
It is worth mentioning that boating services across the state were suspended as a precaution after the Harni incident in Vadodara, where 14 people, including students, lost their lives when a boat capsized at Harni Lake. DeshGujarat
