Ahmedabad: Several districts in Gujarat are expected to witness light to moderate rain and thundershowers over the coming week, according to the latest forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Rainfall is likely at isolated places in districts including Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Surat, Bharuch, and Valsad, as well as in the Union Territories of Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Saurashtra is also forecast to experience similar weather conditions, with showers expected in Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir Somnath districts.

The intensity of rainfall is anticipated to increase from May 22 onwards, with more widespread precipitation likely across Rajkot, Junagadh, Jamnagar, and Ahmedabad. Rainfall is also forecast in the Kutch district by the weekend. While some regions may remain dry in the initial days, most parts of the state are expected to experience wet weather as the week progresses.
