Ahmedabad: In view of the upcoming monsoon season, the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has established 24 control rooms across different zones of the city to handle emergencies and ensure a swift response during heavy rains or waterlogging incidents.

These control rooms, spread across various city zones including East, West, South, North, and Central, along with one main control room, have been set up to address issues such as falling trees, road subsidence, house or building collapses, hoarding failures, and waterlogging in low-lying areas during heavy rains, strong winds, or stormy conditions.

Each control room is equipped with dedicated telephone helplines and WhatsApp numbers to facilitate quick public communication. Citizens can contact their respective zone’s control room for assistance based on their location.
