Ahmedabad: In another troubling case involving pet dogs, a young girl was bitten by a dog in the Maninagar area on Monday. The girl’s father has lodged an official complaint against the dog’s owner.
The incident took place at Parth Empire Tenement in Maninagar. According to the complaint filed by Kaushal Khamar, a 39-year-old practicing lawyer, his 15-year-old daughter was parking her electric scooter in the building’s basement after returning from tuition classes on Saturday evening when a pet dog owned by a resident on the eighth floor suddenly ran up to her and bit her.
Khamar reported the matter to the Maninagar police station, naming Kusum Shah, the dog’s owner. Police have registered the complaint and started an investigation.
This incident follows closely on the heels of a tragic case where a four-month-old infant was fatally attacked by a pet Rottweiler in Hathijan.
