Accountant embezzles ₹12.5 crore from Ahmedabad jewellery firm

Ahmedabad: Using fraudulent accounting practices, the chief accountant of R S Zaveri, a gold and silver trading firm, allegedly misappropriated ₹12.54 crore before fleeing with his family, as per a complaint lodged at Maninagar Police Station. The accused, Ravi Rami, is said to have diverted company funds through forged invoices, fake salary accounts, and manipulated stock records.

The embezzlement was uncovered during an internal audit conducted by the company’s manager, Arpan Vaishnav, on May 22 while reviewing financial documents. DeshGujarat
