Free BRTS, City Bus Rides for Women & Children on Rakshabandhan in Surat

Surat: In a special gesture for Raksha Bandhan, the Surat Municipal Corporation has announced free travel for women and their children (up to 15 years of age) on August 9, 2025. This facility will be available on all BRTS and city buses operating under Surat Sitilink Ltd.
The corporation has urged all women in the city to take full advantage of the public transport services on this auspicious day.
Notably, with India’s longest 108-km dedicated BRTS corridor, the SMC currently operates 367 BRTS buses across 13 routes and 378 city buses on 45 different routes, covering a total network of 452 km. Over 2 lakh passengers benefit from these services on a daily basis. DeshGujarat
