Is Mount Abu safe for tourists? Biker from Gujarat stabbed to death for robbery

Mount Abu: A 28-year-old tourist from Gujarat was brutally stabbed to death in Mount Abu on Thursday afternoon. The victim, Hitesh Chaudhary, a resident of Dhanera in Banaskantha district, was attacked while on a bike trip with his cousin.

According to Mount Abu Police Station Officer Pradeep Danga, the incident occurred when Hitesh and his cousin Naresh Chaudhary were riding towards the Chipaberi outpost from Baghnala. Around noon, they were intercepted by six men on two motorcycles who launched a sudden and violent assault.

The attackers stabbed Hitesh in the chest and fled the scene after snatching his mobile phone. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Naresh Chaudhary, who filed the police report, stated that the motive appeared to be robbery. He and his cousin had come to Mount Abu for a visit and were enjoying a bike ride when the brutal attack occurred.

Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the six miscreants responsible for the murder and robbery. The incident has cast a shadow over the popular tourist destination, raising concerns about visitor safety.
