Star Air to connect Surat with two more cities in Gujarat with direct flight service
August 08, 2025
Surat: After a gap of nearly one and a half years since suspending its Belagavi–Surat–Kishangarh (Ajmer) route, Star Air is set to make a comeback at Surat Airport. Operated by the Sanjay Ghodawat Group, the airline will launch two new daily flights from Surat to Jamnagar and Bhuj, starting August 23, 2025.
These flights will significantly reduce travel time, with Jamnagar reachable in just 50 minutes and Bhuj in one hour from Surat. Same-day return options will also be available for passengers’ convenience.
The new services are expected to benefit a large number of Saurashtrians residing in Surat—especially those from Jamnagar and nearby districts—as well as members of the Kutchi community, businesspeople, and industrialists living from Vapi to Tapi, who can now reach Bhuj, the headquarters of Kutch district, in just an hour.
According to the airline, these new routes will strengthen air connectivity between South Gujarat and the Kutch region. The introductory fare for both routes starts at ₹2,499, and bookings are now open.
