Stray dog flees with 2-year-old boy in mouth in Amreli; video goes viral

Amreli: A shocking case of stray dog menace has come to light from Jashvantgadh village in Amreli, where a stray dog picked up a toddler in its jaws and tried to run away. The child’s father, alerted by the screams, chased the dog and managed to rescue his son just in time. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.

The incident occurred near the Bio Coal factory on Randhiya Road in Jashvantgadh village. A migrant family’s two-year-old child was playing in the courtyard when a stray dog suddenly attacked. The dog clamped the child in its jaws and attempted to flee. Fortunately, the father, who was inside the house, heard his child’s cries, grabbed a spade, and ran after the dog. He managed to free the child after a brief chase.

The child was immediately taken to Chital hospital for treatment. Luckily, the injuries were minor, and the child’s condition is now stable. The heart-wrenching footage of the dog running away with the toddler has gone viral on social media and has shocked viewers.

This is not the first such incident in the region. In recent months, there have been multiple cases of stray dog attacks in Jashvantgadh and nearby Chital village. A few months ago, another child was bitten by a dog, and just a few days ago, four people were attacked by a stray dog in Bagasara town and had to be hospitalized.
