Surat: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today arrested Lokrakshak Hasmukhbhai Chudasama (30) red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹1,00,000.
According to the ACB, a prohibition-related case had been registered at Kamrej Police Station against the complainant’s husband and son-in-law. During the investigation, the complainant’s son-in-law was detained. The accused, who is posted with the Local Crime Branch of Surat Rural Police, allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹1,00,000 to avoid any harm to the complainant’s husband and son-in-law.
As the complainant was unwilling to pay the bribe, she approached the ACB. Acting on her complaint, the ACB set up a trap. During the trap, when the accused accepted the ₹1,00,000 bribe, he was immediately apprehended on the spot. DeshGujarat
