Gujarat Board revokes recognition of Classes 9 and 10 of Bhagwati School in Ahmedabad
November 10, 2025
Ahmedabad: The recognition of Classes 9 and 10 at Bhagwati School, located in Kubernagar, Ahmedabad, has been revoked by the Gujarat State Education Board. This decision comes after an investigation revealed discrepancies in the school’s infrastructure and non-compliance with educational norms.
According to reports, the school was charging high fees even after being designated as a minority-granted school, and was also lacking BU (Building Use) and fire NOC certificates.
The revocation affects approximately 1,000 students enrolled in these classes. They will be shifted to other schools in nearby areas as per the Ahmedabad District Education Officer, officials said. The school, which operates under the Saraswati Education Trust, had obtained recognition in 2022 but failed to maintain the required standards. DeshGujarat
