Ahmedabad civic body eyes ₹1,188 crore from auction of 13 plots
November 11, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced the sale of 13 residential and commercial plots in prime areas including Sindhu Bhavan Road, Shilaj, Ambli, Science City Road, Motera, Gota, and Thaltej. The civic body expects to earn approximately ₹1,188 crore through the upcoming e-auction.
Two high-value commercial plots on Sindhu Bhavan Road, together worth ₹333 crore, along with plots in Motera and Thaltej, have remained unsold for over a year. Despite being located in upscale areas, no builder or company has shown interest so far.
AMC routinely sells land obtained under Town Planning (TP) schemes to raise funds for development projects. In previous rounds, it generated nearly ₹1,000 crore from plot sales, although about 10 plots remained unsold. These unsold plots have now been relisted.
Builders and developers can register and submit bids on AMC’s website between November 10 and 24. The online e-auction will take place on November 27 and 28.
The most expensive plot is located behind Rajpath Club in Bodakdev, priced at ₹3.10 lakh per sq m. Two plots on Sindhu Bhavan Road are valued at ₹2.52 lakh per sq m. DeshGujarat
