Ahmedabad: Gujarat continued to experience cool and dry conditions on Tuesday, though for the second consecutive day, there has been a slight rise in minimum temperatures across several parts of the state. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) report issued at 0830 IST on November 12, daytime temperatures remained below normal by 1°C to 4°C in most cities, while night temperatures showed a marginal upward trend compared to earlier this week.
Ahmedabad recorded a maximum of 31.6°C, which was 2.4°C below normal, and a minimum of 15.5°C, about 2.2°C below normal. Gandhinagar reported a minimum of 14.5°C, dipping 4.6°C below normal, while Baroda and Rajkot recorded 15.8°C and 14.8°C, respectively.
In coastal areas, Bhavnagar and Surat saw pleasant conditions with maximum temperatures around 30–32°C, while during the night the mercury hovered around 16.4°C and 16.6°C, respectively. Western coastal towns Veraval and Porbandar reported highs of 32.8°C and 31.4°C, respectively. The humidity levels ranged between 35% and 80% across most stations.
Despite cooler-than-normal days, meteorological observations indicate that minimum temperatures have slightly increased across the state, signaling a gradual transition toward milder nights. Dry weather is likely to prevail over Gujarat for the next few days. DeshGujarat
