NHAI undertakes repair & maintenance on key national highways passing via Ahmedabad: Govt

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Division of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is carrying out extensive repair and safety enhancement works on key national highways passing through Ahmedabad city and district. The efforts aim to ensure better road quality, smoother traffic movement, and improved safety for motorists, the Gujarat government said in a press release.

Repair and maintenance activities are in full progress on sections of NH-47, NH-147, and NH-58, where roads and overbridges were damaged due to monsoon impact or other factors. Patchwork and restoration works are being executed on a war footing.

On the Ahmedabad–Rajkot National Highway (NH-47), thermoplastic lane marking work under road safety furnishing items is underway on the Ahmedabad–Bagodara section.

On the Chiloda–Gandhinagar–Sarkhej National Highway (NH-147), construction of an elevated corridor of approximately 4 km between Iskcon and Sanand flyover is progressing rapidly to ease vehicular movement. Similarly, in the CH-0 to Indroda section, work is ongoing to improve road safety by closing unauthorized cuts and repairing crash barriers.

On the Gujarat Border–Vadali–Dharoi–Satlasana–Kheralu–Palanpur National Highway (NH-58), road resurfacing, cleaning, vegetation removal, and installation of road safety furnishing items are being carried out on a war footing in the Kheralu–Palanpur section, to enhance road quality and ensure smoother and safer travel for commuters.
